Southworth Power Equipment was established in 2001 as Southworth Auto, LLC. After several years of growth the name was officially changed to Southworth Power Equipment. The company started as an independent repair shop and relocated to our current location in 2006. In 2005, we began retailing Ferris Commercial Mowers and a couple years later teamed up with Husqvarna. These are our two primary product lines today.

The business has grown every year since it was founded. Today we are one of the largest power equipment dealerships in the state. Our staff has over 40 years of combined outdoor power equipment knowledge and experience. We have one of the largest selections of equipment you will find anywhere! Whether you have a small lot or acres of land to maintain, we have what you need. We pride ourselves on offering the highest selection at the lowest prices. Our volume saves you money!

With our increased buying power, we are able to meet or beat any competitor's price on the same model. Customers travel in from all over the state of Virginia because we believe we provide the best customer service and buying experience to both residential and commercial customers alike.

Our facility includes over 6,000 sq. ft. of parts/service, 6,000 sq. ft. of showroom/office space and a 5,000 sq. ft. warehouse where new equipment is stored to protect it prior to customer purchase. We are situated on over seven acres and have a large area for customers to test equipment. With our central Virginia location, we are only 40 minutes from Richmond, about an hour from Charlottesville and a little over an hour from Lynchburg.

Each year, we have an annual customer appreciation event. This event kicks off the spring season and is typically held in early Spring. This event has grown every year and it's a lot of fun.

We have always been active in the local communities and we have helped raise money for several local charities and nonprofit organizations. This has been done by fundraisers, raffles, etc. Some of the organizations we have partnered with are listed below.
